NIA completes 61.8% of infra projects in Ilocos region

MALASIQUI, Pangasinan – The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) 1 (Ilocos Region) has completed 61.8 percent of its 155 infrastructure projects for 2024 as of Oct. 15. NIA-1 manager, engineer Danilo Gomez, during the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas forum on Tuesday, said the agency was allocated PHP5.25 billion for these projects. PCG suspends trips from Cebu to W. Visayas, W. Mindanao areas

CEBU CITY – The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in Central Visayas on Tuesday suspended sea travels of vessels originating from northern Cebu province due to Tropical Storm Kristine. Ensign Jay-R Alguidano, commander of PCG-Northern Cebu, said all travels of any type or tonnage of vessels to and from Eastern Samar, Northern Samar, Samar, Leyte, Biliran, and Southern Leyte are suspended. Over 2K passengers, cargoes stranded in Bicol ports

NDRRMC on ‘red alert’ for TS Kristine’s impact
