GSK’s Arexvy Vaccine For RSV Approved In Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceutical Sdn Bhd (GSK) today announced that the Arexvy vaccine (MAL24086007ARZ) has been approved in Malaysia for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). RSV is a common respiratory virus that can lead to serious negative clinical outcomes, such as lower respiratory tract disease (LRTD) and pneumonia in older adults. Professor Dr Ahmad Izuanuddin Ismail, the deputy director, consultant and respiratory physician at Hospital Al Sultan Abdullah Universiti Teknologi MARA (HASA UiTM), said RSV could lead to moderate to severe outcomes, especially among seniors with underlying health conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and chronic heart failure.

Company Director Loses RM1.9 Mln In Law Firm Fraud

KUALA LUMPUR, A company director recently lost RM1.9 million after claiming she was cheated by a law firm. Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (JSJK) director, Datuk Seri Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf said the 47-year-old woman had appointed the law firm to manage four civil claims filed against her. “In early 2023, the court issued a Mareva injunction against her property, which prevents the disposal of assets while legal proceedings are ongoing,” he said. Budget 2025: Peneka Calls For Continuation Of Cost Of Living Allowance, Diesel Subsidy

KOTA BHARU, The Kelantan Fishermen’s Association (Peneka) has requested that the provision of the cost of living allowance and diesel subsidy be maintained in Budget 2025, which will be tabled by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on 18 October.
