Floods: Evacuees Rise To 8,066 In Kedah As At 8 PM
KUALA LUMPUR, A total of 8,066 flood evacuees are currently housed in 41 temporary relief centres across Kedah as of 8 pm tonight, marking a slight increase from the 8,022 evacuees from 2,568 families reported at 4 pm. According to the Disaster Info portal of the Social Welfare Department (JKM), the evacuees, from 2,582 affected families, come from five districts in the state. Kota Setar district recorded the highest number of evacuees with 4,291 people, followed by Pendang (1,483), Kubang Pasu (1,349), Pokok Sena (796) and Bandar Baharu (147).
