Manila: The local stock barometer declined on Wednesday due to last-minute profit-taking, while the peso barely moved. Manila: A total of 2,006 families left homeless by the massive fire in Tondo, Manila over the weekend received cash assistance worth PHP10,000 from the city government. Mayor Honey Lacuna led the distribution of cash aid to affected residents of the Aroma Compound in Barangay 105 at the General Vicente Lim Elementary School on Tuesday, according to a news release from the Manila Public Information Office on Wednesday. 3 Chinese plane theft gang members intercepted at NAIA

Manila: The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Wednedsay reported the interception of three Chinese men allegedly involved in a theft incident on a flight to Manila. In a statement, BI officer-in-charge Joel Anthony Viado identified the suspects as Lyu Shuiming, 48; Xu Xianpu, 41; and Xie Xiaoyong, 54. The three foreigners were reported to BI officers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 last Sept. 15, after being found to have stolen a handbag on a Philippine Airlines flight from Kuala Lumpur. The BI said they were reportedly caught in the act by a flight attendant after allegedly
