Ministry To Appoint YSS Volunteer Alumni As Unity Agents

KOTA KINABALU, The Ministry of National Unity will appoint all alumni of student volunteer missions organised by Yayasan Sukarelawan Siswa (YSS) as unity agents. Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang said that from this group, 50 would be selected as unity ambassadors after going through several evaluation phases. ‘Two unity icons will also be chosen each year starting next year, and the announcement will be made during the launching of Unity Week Celebration,’ he said in statement today. Elderly Man Killed By Falling Tree At Campsite

KUANTAN, An elderly man was killed and his granddaughter injured after a tree fell on them following a storm at a campsite in Pantai Balok, Beserah this afternoon. Kuantan district police chief ACP Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu said the victim, Zakariah Che Ali, 68, who was from Felda Cerul 2, Kemaman, Terengganu, was declared dead at the scene.
