Sea travel suspension stays in Surigao Norte – PCG

BUTUAN CITY – The Philippine Coast Guard Station in Surigao del Norte (CGS-SDN) maintained its temporary suspension of sea travel on Monday due to strong gale-force winds affecting Mindanao’s western, northern, and eastern seaboards. In an updated advisory, the CGS-SDN extended the suspension to cover sea routes between Surigao del Norte and Southern Leyte, Dinagat Islands, Siargao Island, and Bucas Grande Island. DPWH: P280-M road improvement projects completed in Pampanga

Manila: The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Monday reported the completion of road enhancement projects worth PHP280.31 million in Pampanga province. In a report, DPWH-3 (Central Luzon) director Roseller Tolentino said the works involved various road enhancements in Magalang town and major highways of San Fernando City. Camarines Sur, Albay towns suspend classes due to heavy rainfall

LEGAZPI CITY – The provincial government of Camarines Sur and several local government units in Albay suspended classes on Monday due to heavy rains brought by weather disturbances. In a memorandum, Camarines Sur Governor Vincenzo Renato Luigi Villafuerte said the suspension of classes was considered for the safety of the students and the general public. “The Province of Camarines Sur is still experiencing moderate to heavy rainfall due to the Southwest Monsoon. Several municipalities are currently flooded due to the accumulated antecedent rainfall,” Villafuerte said. In Albay, several towns and a city suspended classes due to moderate to heavy rains.
