Seawall project brings flood protection, economic boost to Albay city
LEGAZPI CITY – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Albay said on Wednesday a PHP138.15-million seawall project in the province has been protecting residents from storm surges and flooding, particularly during the recent Severe Tropical Storm Enteng. In a statement, DPWH-Albay 1st District Engineer Rainero A. Zerda said the 159.26-meter seawall in Barangay Quinale Cabasan in Tabaco City has given comfort to the residents from flooding and boosted economic and tourism development since it was turned over in April this year. Zerda said the infrastructure project, close to the Tabaco International Port, contributes to the city’s socio-economic
