ZAMBOANGA CITY – The Office of the City Veterinarian (OCVet) reported Wednesday a resurgence of African swine fever (ASF) in 38 of the city’s 98 barangays, raising concerns over the spread of the virus. MANILA – Telecommunications firm Globe on Wednesday reported that a significant chunk of all cable thefts in the country occurred in the Greater Manila Area (GMA) in the first half of 2024, followed by the Visayas and Southern Luzon. In a report on Wednesday, the telecommunications giant said there was an average of 245 cable theft incidents per month in the first half of the year, with a total of 1,472 cases across the country. GMA has 906 incidents during the period, followed by the Visayas with 179, Southern Luzon with 135, Northern Luzon with 125, and Mindanao with 119.
