KUALA LUMPUR, Starting January 8 next year, Malaysians travelling to or transiting through the United Kingdom will need to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA), a move set to streamline entry for short-term visitors. SEPANG, The Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) District police headquarters’ Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department has received five reports regarding a concrete chunk that fell onto the highway from the direction of the airport towards Kuala Lumpur last night. SEREMBAN, The Negeri Sembilan state government aims to build 35 Centralised Labour Quarters (CLQ) by 2028 to accommodate at least 150,000 foreign workers in the state. Local Government, Housing and Transport Committee chairman, J. Arul Kumar, said that so far the Seremban City Council (MBS) has received 17 applications to build CLQs, providing a total of 6,056 beds. KUCHING, Singapore is keen to strengthen cooperation with Sarawak, particularly in the renewable energy sector. Singapore’s Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Trade and Industry Dr Tan See Leng said Sarawak has huge potential in the renewable energy sector due to its strategic location and vast natural resources. ‘Sarawak is truly blessed with abundant natural resources, particularly in renewable energy.
