Manila: The Manila City Council has approved a resolution declaring Aug. 8 of every year as Mayor Alfredo S. Lim Day. In a statement Monday, Second District Councilor Numero Lim, principal author of the measure, said the council passed the resolution during its session on Aug. 15. KUALA LUMPUR, FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures were easier in early Monday trade on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives. At 9.30 am, September 2024 futures eased 5.0 point to 1,630.5, October 2024 lost 4.5 points to 1,635.0, December 2024 shed 3.5 points to 1,639.0 and March 2025 depreciated 4.0 points to 1,626.50. KUALA LUMPUR, Bearish sentiment in the global stock markets pressured Bursa Malaysia to open easier on Monday, and the market is expected to trade in cautious mode throughout the day, a dealer said.
