KUALA LUMPUR: Aug 1 (Bernama) –The Second Chance Policy initiative implemented by the government under the ‘Rukun Ihsan’ principle provides a new lease on life for the bankrupts. Selangor Insolvency director Pavani Kasi said bankrupt individuals who benefitted from the initiative thanked the government for the move and were now relieved that the ‘restrictions’ imposed on them had been lifted. “We have granted relief to many bankrupt individuals under the Second Chance Policy. Many are very grateful and happy to be released. Their lives are greatly improved because they had been living under bankruptcy with many restrictions,” she told Bernama.

KPKT Plans To Draft Two Bills, Amend Existing Legislation Before 16th General Election — Nga

PUTRAJAYA, The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) plans to draft the Urban Renewal Bill and the Residential Tenancy Bill, and amend several existing legislation before the 16th General Election, said Minister Nga Kor Ming. He listed the existing legislation as the Housing Development (Control and Licencing) Act, the Fire Services Act, the Local Government Act, and the Town and Country Planning Act. “These drafts and amendments are in the pipeline. We hope to complete them all before GE16. “God willing, if everything goes smoothly, we will present the Urban Renewal Bill in the first (Parliament) session of 2025,”

Malaysia On Track For High-income Status

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s target to achieve high-income status is realistic, given its solid growth trajectory, economic stability and strong investor confidence.
