LAOAG CITY: Ilocos Norte was placed under a state of calamity on Monday due to the onslaught of Super Typhoon Carina, which enhanced the southwest monsoon. Japanese tire firm delivers P3.5-B investment commitment to PH

MANILA: Another foreign firm that expressed its investment commitment to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. during his official trip to Japan has delivered its pledge. On Monday, Yokohama Tire Philippines, Inc. (YTPI) started the construction of its PHP3.5-billion manufacturing plant at Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga. The expansion will increase YTPI’s production capacity by 5 percent, or an additional 500,000 tires annually. DOJ, law schools boost free legal services to more Filipinos

MANILA: The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Monday signed an agreement with the Philippine Association of Law Schools (PALS) that would expand access to free legal services.
