OVER 4,000 KEMAS TEACHERS TO ATTEND QURAN MEMORISATION COURSE

LARUT, A total of 4,145 Kemas teachers will be sent to attend a course on memorising the Quran beginning this month. Community Development director-general Datuk Ahmad Kamal Idris Mohd Nawawi said this is in preparation for the Pre-Tahfiz programme involving more than 140,000 Kemas students nationwide. TERENGGANU JBPM RECORDS 1,969 FIRES AS OF JULY

KUALA NERUS, The Terengganu Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) recorded 1,969 fires across the state from Jan to July 1 this year.
