Verstappen wins US Grand Prix

Red Bull Racing’s Dutch driver Max Verstappen, who recently secured the 2022 Formula 1 title in Japan, was victorious in Sunday’s US Grand Prix.   Verstappen beat Mercedes’ British driver Lewis Hamilton at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas and also helped Red Bull win the constructors’ title this year, the F1 confirmed.   The Dutchman completed the race in one hour, 42 minutes and 11.687 seconds to see the checkered flag first.   Hamilton came in second as the gap between him and Verstappen was five seconds.   Ferrari’s Monegasque racer Charles Leclerc ended the race in

DAR distributes e-titles to Bulacan agrarian reform beneficiaries

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) on Monday distributed electronic land titles (e-titles) to agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Bulacan.   The agency’s Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) project intends to fast-track the land subdivision or parcelization of the Collective Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CCLOAs) of about 1.368 million hectares of land nationwide.   DAR Central Luzon Director James Arsenio Ponce led the distribution of the e-titles covering 21.7750 hectares to 35 ARBs in the towns of San Rafael and San Ildefonso.   Ponce said the distribution of individual titles would enable farmer-beneficiaries to have

DOJ eyes 2nd autopsy on alleged middleman in Percy Lapid slay

Investigators will continuously tie up loose ends and solve lingering questions in the case of slain broadcaster Percival “Percy Lapid” Mabasa, the Department of Justice (DOJ) assured.   Prosecutors held the first preliminary investigation hearing Monday into the case of Joel Escorial, the self-confessed gunman in the killing of the radio commentator on October 3.   The next investigation is set on November 4.   DOJ Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla told reporters that he trusts the National Bureau of Investigation and the Philippine National Police to come up with “a satisfactory answer to all the questions in our minds.”

Dumagat households in Bulacan to get potable water soon

AFP names new JTF-NCR commander

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Monday announced the appointment of Col. Alexei Musñgi as the Joint Task Force-National Capital Region (JTF-NCR) commander.   He replaced Brig. Gen. Marceliano Teofilo who assumed command of the Intelligence Service of the AFP last July.   AFP chief Lt. Gen. Bartolome Vicente Bacarro presided over the change-of-command ceremony at the AFP Commissioned Officers Club in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.   “Col.
