VP Sara Seeks Approval for Multi-Nation Travel from April 23-May 15

Manila: Malaca±ang on Wednesday confirmed that Vice President Sara Duterte is seeking the Office of the President's approval to travel to five countries from April 23 to May 15.

According to Philippines News Agency, Executive Secretary Ralph Recto stated that Duterte requested travel authority to visit the Netherlands, South Korea, Belgium, Germany, and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland during those dates. Recto also confirmed that the Office of the President released a document dated April 22, approving Duterte's request.

The document specifies that the travel is authorized while Duterte is on leave of absence and will be at no cost to the government. It also supersedes any previously issued travel authority covering personal trips to the same destinations within the approved period. Malaca±ang has yet to release a copy of the document.
