Repower Energy Sees 33% Revenue Increase Amid Heavy Rains

Manila: Heavy rains during the third quarter of the year helped lift revenues of publicly-listed run-of-river hydropower developer Repower Energy Development Corp. (REDC) to PHP526.7 million, the company announced Wednesday.

According to Philippines News Agency, in a disclosure with the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), REDC, a subsidiary of Pure Energy Holding, said revenues rose 33 percent from PHP396.6 million in the same period last year. Net income surged by 110 percent to PHP226.1 million, from the year-ago’s PHP107.7 million.

For the third quarter alone, revenues went up 43 percent to PHP167 million, and net income increased by 527.73 percent to PHP74 million, compared to PHP11 million from a year ago. ‘The strong results stemmed from better weather conditions, adherence to standard operating procedures, leading in turn to higher operational efficiency in its existing hydropower plants and tighter overhead cost control,’ the disclosure said.

The company also stated that its Board of Directors, during their meeting on Tuesday, approved the declaration of a cash dividend of PHP0.08 per share to all stockholders, to be made on Jan. 12, 2026.
