Repolyo Caravan Brings Fresh Cabbage to Metro Manila at Affordable Prices

Manila: Consumers can now avail of fresh and affordable cabbage as the Department of Agriculture (DA) rolls out its Repolyo Caravan in Metro Manila. Under the caravan, fresh cabbage from local farmers in Benguet sells at PHP20 to PHP25 per kilogram.

According to Philippines News Agency, Agriculture spokesperson Assistant Secretary Arnel de Mesa stated that this initiative is part of the government's support for Filipino vegetable producers. "Ang tulong ng DA dito, iyong ating mga Kadiwa van, ginagamit para dalhin 'yung mga products nila dito. Libre na 'yung logistics cost," he explained, highlighting the free logistics provided by the Kadiwa vans to transport the products.

De Mesa urged the public to take advantage of the program while supplies last in several locations, including Para±aque City Hall grounds, Department of Agriculture lobby in Quezon City, Bureau of Animal Industry Dome in Quezon City, Makati City Hall back entrance, Mandaluyong City Hall front, GMA Network Center in Quezon City, Brgy. Sto. Rosario Kanluran Covered Court in Pateros, and the Independence Day Event at Luneta Park in Manila.

In addition to the affordable cabbage, the caravan offers broccoli at PHP150 per kilo from farmer cooperatives. The Repolyo Caravan will be available until Sunday, providing a limited-time opportunity for consumers to purchase fresh produce at reduced prices.
