Recto to New Lawyers: Uphold Justice, Serve with Integrity, Courage

Manila: Executive Secretary Ralph G. Recto on Wednesday congratulated the 5,594 successful passers of the 2025 Bar examinations, urging them to remain steadfast in upholding truth, justice, and service to the Filipino people as they enter the legal profession. In a message addressed to the new lawyers, Recto called on them to let integrity guide their practice and courage sustain them through difficult moments.

According to Philippines News Agency, Recto emphasized the importance of doing what is right, even when it is not popular or easy, reminding the new lawyers to never forget the Filipino nation whom they ultimately serve in their pursuit of justice. He highlighted the significant role of lawyers in shaping the country's future and urged them to use both skill and conscience in their work.

Recto encouraged the new lawyers to put their skill, intellect, and heart into choosing and fighting for what is right, for the future of every Filipino and the nation. He ended his message by congratulating the new members of the legal profession and encouraging them to serve with honor and patriotism.

A total of 5,594 examinees passed the 2025 Bar, significantly higher than the 3,962 passers recorded in 2024. Data from the Supreme Court showed that 13,193 candidates registered for the 2025 Bar examinations, while 11,437 examinees took the tests held on Sept. 7, 10, and 14.
