QC Gov’t Vows Justice for 8-Year-Old Girl Found Dead in Vacant Lot

Manila: The Quezon City government: strongly condemned the killing of an 8-year-old girl whose body was found in a vacant lot in Barangay Sta. Lucia in Novaliches on Sunday afternoon.

According to Philippines News Agency, the city government released a statement expressing their outrage and solidarity with the victim’s family. They assured the public that this heinous incident would not be tolerated, emphasizing that there is no room for any kind of violence in the city and that they will ensure justice prevails.

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has already launched an immediate and thorough investigation to determine the circumstances of the child’s death and identify those responsible. The city government has pledged to provide necessary support to the victim’s family through its Social Services Development Department (SSDD).

Additionally, a psychological debriefing will be conducted for the child’s teachers and classmates, in coordination with the QC Schools Division Office. This initiative aims to support the emotional well-being of those affected by the tragedy.

Meanwhile, the city government has urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information, including speculations and gossip that could cause further harm to the victim and her family, and affect the investigation. Barangay officials, including police officers and other concerned offices, have been tasked to intensify efforts in keeping communities, especially children, safe and free from any form of violence.
