Manila: The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has issued a reminder to all political parties and party-lists to submit their respective Sworn Information Update Statement (SIUS) by the August 15 deadline. This reminder was communicated via a social media post, emphasizing the necessity for registered party-list groups, political parties, coalitions, and national, regional, or sectoral parties and organizations to comply with annual submissions to their Political Finance and Affairs Department (PFAD).
According to Philippines News Agency, the SIUS must include comprehensive details such as the full name of the political entity, its acronym, principal headquarters, postal office addresses, and any branches or divisions. Additionally, it should contain the date of registration and constituency. The statement should also list the current officers, their positions, and sex, as well as information on elected members from the most recent national and local elections, their positions, and sex. Furthermore, the document should include details of members and guest candidates nominated for elective positions, along with their respective positions and sex, disaggregated by sex.
The SIUS is also required to provide updated contact numbers, email addresses, and details on past election participation and results. While the Portable Document Format (PDF) copies of the SIUS can be submitted via email to [email protected], hard copies must be delivered to the PFAD at the G/F Sitio Grande Building, 409 A. Soriano Avenue, Intramuros, Manila.
Comelec Resolution No. 10943 mandates this submission to ensure the accuracy and currency of records for political parties and party-list groups, thereby maintaining updated information for national, regional, or sectoral parties, organizations, or coalitions.
