Ilocos region: Over 31,600 job vacancies will be offered to job seekers across various parts of the Ilocos Region on Independence Day, Friday, according to the Department of Labor and Employment in Ilocos Region.
According to Philippines News Agency, DOLE-1 information officer Jenny Mapile stated in a phone interview that job seekers can explore 1,635 vacancies in Ilocos Norte, 2,307 in Ilocos Sur, 1,179 in La Union, and 26,834 in Pangasinan. The top job roles available include production operators (1,610), customer service representatives (1,012), production division operators (1,000), quality assurance inspectors (1,100), and production associates (1,000).
The job fairs are scheduled to take place at several locations: SM City Laoag in Ilocos Norte; Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College Gymnasium - Main Campus in Candon City, Ilocos Sur; SM La Union in San Fernando City, La Union; Ground Floor Atrium of NEPO Mall on Arellano St. in Dagupan City, Pangasinan; Events Center on the 2nd Floor of SM City Rosales in Carmen East, Rosales, Pangasinan; and Don Leopoldo Sison Convention Center in Alaminos City, Pangasinan.
Applicants have the option to preregister through links available on the DOLE's website or register onsite on the day of the event. In addition to job opportunities, there will be a one-stop-shop for services offered by national government agencies and Kadiwa ng Pangulo at the job fair sites.
The program is part of the administration's initiatives to provide employment opportunities, as emphasized by Mapile. The DOLE encourages fresh college and senior high school graduates to take advantage of this opportunity.
