Manila: The Philippines on Thursday unveiled the official anthem and music video for its 2026 hosting of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), conveying its vision of charting a future anchored on 'solidarity and collective progress.'

According to Philippines News Agency, the ASEAN National Organizing Council (NOC) stated that the anthem carries a unifying message of "One Vision, One Ocean," delivering a stirring call for resilience, solidarity, and collective progress. The ASEAN NOC explained that the lyrics portray nations bound by the sea, weathering tides and storms together, guided by hope and a shared purpose.

The council emphasized that the anthem affirms ASEAN's commitment to rising, shining, and moving forward as one community. The music video accompanying the anthem features shots of significant landmarks across ASEAN member states, capturing vibrant cultures, storied heritage, dynamic cityscapes, and diverse cultural expressions. This visual narrative aims to highlight the strong connections that link the peoples of Southeast Asia.

Through powerful imagery and music, the ASEAN 2026 anthem and MTV celebrate the region's interconnectedness and reinforce its collective commitment to stability, cooperation, and sustainable growth. As ASEAN chair this year, the Philippines aims to strengthen regional cooperation against emerging and non-traditional threats while pushing for greater economic integration. Next week, it will host the 35th ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) Council Meeting and Related Meetings, advancing its third priority on people empowerment by reviewing regional progress on education, health, social development, culture, and the environment.
