Cagayan de oro: The Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao (PRO-10) on Monday recognized four officers for their distinguished efforts in the fight against illegal drugs and smuggling. During the flag-raising ceremony at Camp Alagar, the Medalya ng Kadakilaan (Medal of Nobility) was awarded to Maj. Aldren Baculio of the Cagayan de Oro Police Office for leading the recent arrest of a high-value suspect and confiscation of 200 grams of shabu with an estimated value of PHP1.3 million.
According to Philippines News Agency, another awardee of the same distinction was Corporal Chery Ann Litub of PRO-10's Regional Drug Enforcement Unit for leading an operation that netted 109.88 grams of shabu with an estimated value of PHP782,000. Maj. Paul Gerard Paul Duran of the Bukidnon Provincial Police Office received the Medalya ng Kagalingan (Medal of Excellence) for leading the arrest of a suspect carrying 17 boxes of alleged smuggled cigarettes amounting to PHP839,600.
Capt. Mirasol Capi±a of PRO-10's Regional Plans and Strategy Management Division got the Medalya ng Papuri (Medal of Commendation) for her humanitarian efforts and inspiring hope through acts of kindness. PRO-10 seized PHP10.2 million worth of contraband and made 193 arrests from Jan. 9 to 15.
"We will continue to intensify our operations against all forms of criminality to ensure the safety and security of the people in Northern Mindanao," PRO-10 Director Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano said.
