NHA Distributes P5.7-M Financial Aid to Caloocan Fire Victims

Caloocan city: The National Housing Authority (NHA) on Thursday said it has distributed a total of PHP5.74 million in financial assistance to 202 families who lost their homes to recent fire incidents in Caloocan City. The beneficiaries include fire-affected residents from Barangay 28 and Barangay 164 of the city.

According to Philippines News Agency, NHA National Capital Region (NCR)-North Sector Officer-in-Charge Wenson Reyes led the distribution of the cash aid at the Bagong Silang Sports Complex on June 19, 2026. The agency, in a news release, said the assistance was released through its Emergency Housing Assistance Program. It is an initiative aimed at providing quick-response financial support to families displaced by natural and man-made disasters.

The standard financial assistance ranges from PHP5,000 to PHP30,000 per family, depending on the extent of the damage, whether the house is partially or totally destroyed, and on the guidelines for the specific calamity. Under the leadership of General Manager Joeben Tai, the NHA continues to extend financial aid across the country to help families affected by calamities and tragedies recover and rebuild their lives.
