Manila Cathedral Opens Holy Week Images Exhibit

Manila: The Manila Cathedral will be featuring different Holy Week images in a two-week exhibit in its Blessed Souls and St. Jude Chapel.

According to Philippines News Agency, the Cathedral announced the opening of the "Fiat Voluntas Tua: Thy Will Be Done" exhibit during the Lenten season, which started on March 1 and will run until March 15. The Cathedral invited everyone to the Lenten Exhibit, highlighting that the various images can serve as a meaningful way to prepare for the coming Holy Week and the celebration of the Passion of the Lord.

The Manila Cathedral further shared that the Holy Week images have been sourced from different devotees who agreed to feature them in the exhibit. Concurrently, the Cathedral is encouraging the public to partake in a pilgrimage across several churches in the Rizal province as part of its Easter Sunday celebration.

The Cathedral invited the faithful to participate in the "Via Lucis Lakbay-Dasal 2026 Easter Pilgrimage" on April 9 through another social media post. Participants will visit seven churches in Rizal, within the Diocese of Antipolo. The churches include Regina RICA, Diocesan Shrine of the Holy Face of Manoppello, Diocesan Shrine and Parish of St Mary Magdalene, San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish, Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Saint Joseph, Saint Rose of Lima Parish, and the Antipolo Cathedral.

The pilgrimage entails a fee of PHP1,300, which covers travel insurance, bottled water, a candle, a pilgrimage shirt, a booklet, and bus transportation. The deadline for registration is set for March 15. The 40-day Lenten season, which began on Ash Wednesday, will conclude on Easter Sunday and is a time of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving for the Catholic faithful.
