LTO Summons ‘Road Rage’ Vlogger; Driver’s License Suspended

Manila: The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has summoned a vlogger over a road rage incident where he was seen impeding traffic and repeatedly hitting another vehicle in a video that went viral on social media.

According to Philippines News Agency, LTO chief Markus Lacanilao stated that the vlogger, who runs the page 'Aberya Thingz,' was issued a show cause order (SCO) and has been summoned to appear before the Intelligence and Investigation Division (IID) on Thursday. The driver is currently facing a temporary 90-day suspension, and the vehicle has been placed on alarm to prevent any transactions with the LTO while the investigation continues.

The vlogger has been instructed to submit a comment or explanation on why he should not be administratively charged with reckless driving and deemed an improper person to operate a motor vehicle. Lacanilao emphasized that the LTO will enforce the law fairly but strictly, underscoring that safety and proper driving are paramount.

In the viral video, the vlogger was seen blocking other vehicles from overtaking. At a traffic light stop, he exited his vehicle and repeatedly struck another vehicle while shouting at its driver and passengers.
