LTO Launches 3-Day License Renewal Caravan for OFWs in Bahrain

Manama: The Land Transportation Office (LTO) is set to conduct a three-day license renewal caravan in the Kingdom of Bahrain aimed at overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) starting Thursday.

According to Philippines News Agency, the LTO stated that the initiative aligns with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s objective to deliver fast, efficient, and affordable services to OFWs globally. The event will take place at the Oasis Mall in Juffair from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from January 29 to 31.

The statement emphasized that the caravan's purpose is to provide Filipinos the opportunity to renew their driver's licenses without needing to return to the Philippines for processing. To utilize the service, OFWs are required to present their driver's license card, complete the online validation exam known as the 'Comprehensive Driver's Education,' and submit a medical certificate proving fit-to-work status within the last six months.

This caravan is a collaborative effort among the LTO, the Philippine Embassy, and the Migrant Workers Office.
