Legazpi Sets Return to 5-Day Workweek in July

Legazpi: The city government announced Monday that it will return to the regular five-day workweek starting in July. During the morning convocation, Mayor Hisham Ismail said the change would give employees ample time to prepare for the resumption of the regular workweek during the first week of next month.

According to Philippines News Agency, the mayor emphasized that the decision to revert to a five-day workweek aims to improve service provision to residents, particularly those seeking assistance. Mayor Ismail expressed optimism that the recent ceasefire and peace deal between the United States and Iran would lead to better outcomes, especially in oil prices.

The mayor mentioned that the decision to return in July also considered the employees' prior medical checkup schedules and personal matters. Ismail highlighted that the compressed four-day workweek had been successful, with no decline in the quality of services provided to Legazpi residents.
