India Offers Free 30-Day Double-Entry E-Tourist Visas to Filipinos

Manila: The government of India has announced that Filipinos can now avail of a free 30-day e-tourist visa, which allows for double entry, effective from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2026.

According to Philippines News Agency, the Indian Embassy in Manila disclosed that the free visa can be applied for online through the official portal at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html. The e-tourist visa, valid for 30 days from the date of arrival in India, requires applicants to file their visa request at least four days before their intended travel date and permits applications up to 30 days in advance.

Applicants need to ensure that their passports have at least six months’ validity at the time of application. Upon arrival, travelers may be asked to present proof of return or onward travel and sufficient funds for their stay in India. The free visa offer is limited to the 30-day e-tourist category, with standard visa fees continuing to apply for other e-visa categories such as e-business, e-medical, e-conference, and e-student visas.

All e-visas are non-extendable and non-convertible, and they do not allow entry into protected, restricted, or cantonment areas. Filipinos preferring a regular paper visa, including a tourist visa, from the Embassy of India will still need to pay the applicable fees. Further information and application guidelines can be found on the official Indian visa website.
