Housing Beneficiaries Offered Expanded Payment Options by NHA

Manila: The National Housing Authority (NHA) has reminded housing beneficiaries of the multiple payment options available to them for settling monthly amortizations. This announcement comes as a move to facilitate easier and more efficient payment processes for beneficiaries.

According to Philippines News Agency, the NHA highlighted the accessibility and convenience brought about by digital payment channels such as GCash and the ECPay application system. These platforms have been instrumental in making amortization payments more accessible and faster for beneficiary families.

NHA General Manager Joeben A. Tai emphasized that the agency is committed to strengthening its payment network by broadening alternative payment channels through the NHA Online Payment Gateways (OPG) during his term. "As we start the new year, the NHA continues its efforts to further strengthen payment methodologies, including enhancing our digitalization initiatives to modernize and streamline our processes, particularly in the payment of monthly amortizations, which will greatly benefit our housing project beneficiaries," Tai stated.

The NHA has established partnerships with major e-payment services and applications, including Maya Philippines, Green Apple Technologies and Systems Inc., ESP Collection Agency, and Link.BizPortal. Additionally, over-the-counter partners such as Bayad Center and 7-Eleven are part of the initiative.

This initiative aligns with the government's efforts to enhance transactions and processes under Republic Act 11032, or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018, along with the digitalization objectives outlined in Republic Act 8792, or the Electronic Commerce Act of 2000.

The NHA also reminded beneficiaries who participated in the 'Condonation 7' program to adhere to their monthly payment schedules to avoid penalties and interest charges. This compliance is essential to fully enjoy the benefits of the program, which concluded in December 2025.

Beneficiaries still have the option to pay their amortizations through cashiers at NHA offices. The NHA is actively working on developing additional payment options to make housing payments simpler for beneficiary families. The shift to digital payments is anticipated to enhance the agency's collection efficiency, thereby generating more funds for the development of additional housing projects.
