Iloilo city: National government agencies and the city and provincial governments of Iloilo will bring their frontline services during the two-day Grand Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Fair 2026 at the Iloilo Terminal Market, targeting to serve around 2,000 Ilonggos. The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) tapped the Iloilo City Government as host for this year's event, set on May 25-26, which aimed to promote and strengthen the culture of transparency and accountability and responsive government service delivery, Nabetshe Atina Silao, Iloilo City ARTA Focal Person, said in an interview on Thursday.
According to Philippines News Agency, 'It is a one-stop shop for two days. Each agency will bring its frontline service. It's bringing government services closer to the people,' Nabetshe Atina Silao stated. She mentioned that four offices of the city government will join, including the City Treasurer, which will issue community tax certificates on site; the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs and the Persons with Disability for identification cards; the City Civil Registrar will bring its mobile registration for birth, death, and marriage certificates; and the Business Permit and Licensing Division. There will also be a help desk where attendees can inquire about business-related transactions.
ARTA Director General, Secretary Ernesto Perez, is expected to join the second day of the event. He will lead the signing of a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the provincial government of Iloilo for the establishment of the Provincial One-Stop Shop, and with the West Visayas State University for the integration of special topics on EODB into the latter's post-graduate programs.
In addition to the city and provincial governments of Iloilo, other participating agencies are the Western Visayas regional offices of the Department of Foreign Affairs; Government Service Insurance System; Home Development Mutual Fund; Land Transportation Office; Philippine Statistics Authority; Bureau of Internal Revenue; Department of Information and Communications Technology; Department of the Interior and Local Government; and the Department of Trade and Industry.
Also joining are the Social Security System Iloilo Central Branch; Professional Regulation Commission; Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation; Philippine Health Insurance; Philippine Information Agency; Civil Service Commission; Bureau of Fire and Protection; Department of Health; Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VI - Western Visayas; Philippine Postal Corporation Western Visayas; Landbank of the Philippines Iloilo Branch; Technical Education and Skills Development Authority; Department of Agrarian Reform; and the Department of Migrant Workers.
