DSWD-11 Disburses P157-M UPLIFT Aid to 78K Davao Households

Manila: The Department of Social Welfare and Development-Davao (DSWD-11) has assisted 78,785 households across the Davao Region under its Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT) program as of Monday.

According to Philippines News Agency, the agency's latest regional update reveals that total disbursements have reached PHP157.5 million, covering various forms of livelihood and transport support for affected and low-income families. UPLIFT aims to strengthen community resilience and economic recovery through integrated assistance packages.

DSWD-11 also stated that it continues to bring essential services and assistance to families to address their basic requirements and help alleviate their situation. On Monday, an ongoing payout for UPLIFT assistance in Marilog District is set to benefit more than 2,000 beneficiaries receiving PHP2,000 each.

Alongside the payout, registration for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) was conducted to assist beneficiaries in obtaining a National ID. "Through this activity, the DSWD delivered not only financial aid but also other services that will help beneficiaries access government programs and services more easily and efficiently," the agency added.

Running through December, the monthly subsidy is designed to help families under Groups 2 and 3 buffer against rising living costs, secure basic food supplies, and manage everyday household needs.
