DPWH Initiates Round-The-Clock Rehab Works on EDSA Magallanes Flyover During Holy Week

Makati city: The Department of Public Works and Highways-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) announced plans for continuous rehabilitation work on the EDSA Magallanes Flyover in Makati City this Holy Week. The initiative, set to be executed around the clock, aims to address necessary repairs and maintenance of the structure.

According to Philippines News Agency, the scheduled work will involve asphalt overlaying and repair of expansion joints. This operation is set to commence at 10 p.m. on Holy Wednesday and conclude by 4 a.m. on Easter Sunday. During this period, there will be a temporary full road closure on the southbound portion of the flyover to facilitate the necessary repairs.

The DPWH has confirmed that the northbound portion of the flyover will remain accessible to motorists throughout the rehabilitation period. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes along the EDSA Service Road. The recommended detour involves veering slightly right before reaching the Magallanes Flyover, proceeding through Chino Roces Avenue, Antonio Arnaiz Avenue, and Osme±a Highway, before rejoining EDSA toward Pasay City.

The DPWH assured motorists that they would reopen the closed areas as scheduled, aiming to restore normal traffic flow by the end of Holy Week.
