DOTr Partners with Manila to Accelerate NSCR Station Construction

Manila: The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has partnered with the city government of Manila to fast-track the construction of the Solis and Blumentritt Stations of the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) project. This collaboration aims to expedite the development of essential infrastructure to benefit commuters.

According to Philippines News Agency, during clearing operations at the Old Antipolo Road, DOTr Secretary Vince Dizon emphasized that this partnership aligns with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to accelerate mass transport projects. The initiative seeks to overcome a two-year delay in the construction process.

Dizon expressed gratitude to Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno for facilitating the partnership, stating that cooperation between national and local governments can significantly advance project timelines. He conveyed confidence in the project’s imminent commencement and swift progression.

During the event, Mayor Moreno assured that the Manila City government is committed to supporting the mass transportation projects initiated by the Marcos administration. He expressed appreciation for the project’s implementation and commended Secretary Dizon for his proactive approach. Moreno affirmed the city’s full backing for initiatives that benefit the public.
