Dinagat islands: The Dinagat Islands' provincial government formally inaugurated three completed infrastructure projects on Tuesday, collectively valued at over PHP10.8 million, as confirmed by officials. These projects include a PHP896,376 materials recovery facility, a PHP4.99 million Bahay Pag-asa for the youth, and a PHP4.99 million farm machinery and storage unit. All three are situated within the provincial capitol complex in Barangay Cuarinta, San Jose town.
According to Philippines News Agency, Governor Nilo Demerey Jr. led the inauguration ceremony, emphasizing that the projects represent a collective vision aimed at fostering a cleaner environment, enhancing community safety, and bolstering the agricultural sector. Governor Demerey highlighted that the materials recovery facility is designed to promote responsible waste management, the Bahay Pag-asa is intended to support programs for children and women's welfare, and the farm facility will provide critical resources for the province's farmers.
The inauguration was attended by key provincial officials, as well as leaders from women's and youth organizations, and representatives of the farming community, who gathered to witness the launch of these significant projects.
