DICT Offers Free Digital Services to Families of OFWs in Bicol

Legazpi city: The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has initiated a program to provide free calls, computer, and internet services to families of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Bicol. This initiative aims to assist those affected by tensions in parts of the Middle East by ensuring they stay connected with their loved ones abroad.

According to Philippines News Agency, DICT-5 Assistant Regional Director Carmela Valencia explained that the objective is to maintain communication for families during challenging times. The department is focused on providing easy access to technology and information, ensuring that families are not left behind or disconnected.
