Antique: The Department of Education Schools Division Office (SDO) of Antique is actively seeking job opportunities for graduates of the Alternative Learning System (ALS) by utilizing its Enrollment to Employment (E to E) program.

According to Philippines News Agency, SDO Antique Superintendent Dr. Ernesto Servillon Jr. announced the establishment of partnerships with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to implement the program. This initiative aims to support 619 out-of-school youth who recently completed the ALS program.

Dr. Servillon stated, "We are now in the process of surveying or conducting an assessment of the ALS graduates so we can link them with TESDA or CHED." The E to E program is designed to provide pathways for graduates, with options to pursue college degrees through CHED scholarships or to engage in skills training in areas such as welding, cooking, or carpentry with TESDA.

In a related interview, DepEd-Antique Education Program Specialist Sunny Morillo highlighted that many ALS graduates in the province are already employed or have family responsibilities, making the flexible modality of the ALS program a suitable option for completing their senior high school education.

The recent graduation ceremonies were divided into two separate events. On August 13, 317 ALS graduates from the southern municipalities, including Anini-y, Tobias Fornier, and others, celebrated their achievements. A week later, on August 20, 302 graduates from the northern municipalities, such as Barbaza and Culasi, marked their milestone.
