Manila: The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has announced its collaboration with several government agencies to establish registration centers for overseas voters in preparation for the May 2028 elections.
According to Philippines News Agency, the Office for Overseas Voting (OFOV) of Comelec made the announcement through social media, highlighting the involvement of the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO), the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) - Office of Consular Affairs (OCA), and the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) as Local Field Registration Centers (LFRCs).
The Comelec-OFOV emphasized the convenience for clients who are already undertaking transactions at these centers, as they can also register as overseas voters. The message encouraged potential registrants to ensure their right to participate in the elections, even while residing abroad.
The designated LFRCs are strategically located at various sites, operating on weekdays. The DFA-OCA center is situated at ASEANA Business Park in Para±aque City, welcoming registrants from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The CFO center is located at Nexgen Tower, EDSA Extension, Pasay City, open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The DMW center can be found at the Blas F.
