Cavite Bettor Bags PHP32-Million Lotto 6/42 Jackpot

Cavite: A lone bettor from Cavite became an instant millionaire after bagging the PHP32-million jackpot in Thursday night's Lotto 6/42 draw. The winning ticket, sold in Carmona, Cavite, matched the winning combination of 16-28-08-23-42-20.

According to Philippines News Agency, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced in an advisory on Friday that the fortunate winner has one year to claim the PHP32,894,927.40 prize at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City. Under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, lotto winnings exceeding PHP10,000 are subject to a 20-percent tax.

Meanwhile, 74 other bettors each won PHP24,000 for guessing five out of the six winning digits. Additionally, 3,280 bettors won PHP800 each for four correct digits, and 41,397 will receive PHP20 each for three correct digits. The 6/42 Lotto is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

PCSO General Manager Robles encouraged the public to support the agency's gaming products, emphasizing their role in raising additional revenues for health initiatives, medical services, and other national charities. Through its mandatory contributions, the PCSO not only assists individuals in need of medical support but also provides funds to government institutions.
