KOTA KINABALU, Over RM33.59 million has been allocated to Sabah to develop and optimise land use, aimed at increasing agro-food product yield, Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS) Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu said. KUCHING, Cooperatives in Sarawak have received RM4.48 million in Revolving Capital Fund and cooperative development assistance from the Malaysia Co-operative Societies Commission of Malaysia (SKM) this year. BANGI, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said teachers who are negligent, indiscipline and perform poorly should be excluded from the time-based promotion privilege. He said even though the government accepted the principle of promotion on time-based, it would revoke the facility for teachers who were negligent and had poor discipline. “If the discipline (of teachers) is weak, if they don’t go to school many times in a year, I want to cancel it (time-based). BATU PAHAT, The Johor government will examine the syllabus and subjects in institutions of higher learning (IPT) in the state so that they will be in line with market needs, thereby increasing the marketability of graduates. State Education and Information Committee chairman Aznan Tamin said this is because there are many courses offered, including in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) field, which are not parallel and do not meet the needs of the market.
