KORONADAL CITY: Three persons, including a Grade 10 pupil, died while six others were hurt in an accident along the national highway in Barangay Saravia here on Tuesday night. Police Master Sgt. Leo Dimaculangan, Koronadal City traffic chief, said two motorbikes and a government vehicle of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources-Soccsksargen (BFAR-12) were involved in the accident that occurred at 6 p.m. The fatalities were identified as Rogela Bayang, 25, of General Santos City, who was driving a motorcycle, and also Rhealyn Hilaria, 21, and her 15-year-old sister, both of this city, who were on a separate motorbike.

MANILA: The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said PHP831.77 million worth of coins have been deposited through its coin deposit machines (CoDM) as of July 15. In a Facebook post on Tuesday, the BSP said the amount is equivalent to 223.02 million pieces of coins from 202,110 transactions. CoDMs allow customers to conveniently deposit their legal tender coins to be credited to their GCash or Maya electronic wallet accounts or converted into shopping vouchers. MANILA: The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Tuesday ordered an investigation into the alleged recycling and resale of seized vape products. In a statement, Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio has directed the Intelligence Group under Deputy Commissioner Juvymax Uy to initiate a comprehensive fact-finding investigation on these items which were recently confiscated and reportedly placed under a ‘safekeeping order’ via a Mission Order.
