The son of one of the victims who went missing after a fishing boat collided with a barge in Kemaman waters this morning is hopeful that his father will be found safely. Mohd Azad, 37, from Raub, Pahang, expressed his disbelief that his father, Yusuf Kassam, 66, who went fishing with his friends, would meet such a tragic end. A second body, believed to be from a fishing boat that capsized after being hit by a barge in Kemanan waters this morning was found at around 1 pm. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has channelled an initial assistance of RM15,000 each for five dilapidated houses in Kampung Chendor, Kuantan, Pahang, for the purpose of carrying out repairs. In a Facebook post today, Anwar said the cash aid was channelled during his political secretary Ahmad Farhan Fauzi’s visit to several dilapidated houses in the village recently. “He (Ahmad Farhan) has surveyed the condition of the dilapidated houses and has channelled an initial assistance of RM15,000 for each house, for the purpose of carrying out repairs,” he said.
