MANILA – Telecommunications firm Globe on Wednesday reported that a significant chunk of all cable thefts in the country occurred in the Greater Manila Area (GMA) in the first half of 2024, followed by the Visayas and Southern Luzon. In a report on Wednesday, the telecommunications giant said there was an average of 245 cable theft incidents per month in the first half of the year, with a total of 1,472 cases across the country. GMA has 906 incidents during the period, followed by the Visayas with 179, Southern Luzon with 135, Northern Luzon with 125, and Mindanao with 119.

KOTA KINABALU, In a rare and unexpected incident, two women and a man were injured in an otter attack while jogging at a recreational park in Kota Kinabalu this morning.
