Falling Tree Incident: Two Seriously Injured; Car And Motorcycle Damaged

IPOH, Two peple were seriously injured when a tree fell on a car and motorcycle in an accident in Jalan Kamunting, Taman Glen View, near Kamunting today. Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) assistant director (operations) Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said a team from the Kamunting Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) rushed to the location after receiving a distress call about the incident at 12.53 pm. He said in the incident, the tree fell and damaged a passing Perodua Alza car and Yamaha Y15 motorcycle. RM800,000 Cash Seized From Immigration Officers In ‘Counter Setting’ Syndicate

PUTRAJAYA, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki disclosed that nearly RM800,000 in cash was discovered in the bedrooms of two immigration officers linked to the ‘counter setting’ syndicate. This sum is part of the RM1.49 million seized during Ops Setting, an operation that began last month. The haul also included US$9,900 and 5,470 Thai baht.
