FBM KLCI Futures Mostly Higher In Early Trade

KUALA LUMPUR, FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures were mostly higher despite the weaker underlying cash market. At 9.48 am, September 2024 contract added 2.0 points to 1,662.0, October 2024 grew 3.0 points to 1,665.5, December 2024 rose 1.0 points to 1,669.0, but March 2025 fell 0.5 of-a-point to 1,654.0. Food prices pull down inflation rate in Eastern Visayas in August

TACLOBAN CITY – Eastern Visayas recorded a 3.3 percent inflation rate (IR) in August 2024, lower than the 4.4 percent recorded the previous month, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported on Thursday. The downtrend in inflation rate was mainly due to the lower inflation on food and non-alcoholic beverages at 5.5 percent last month from 6.8 percent in July 2024.
