Maritime enforcers seize over P3-M worth of illegal gear, catch

Manila: Authorities seized more than PHP3 million worth of fishing gear and boats in a joint operation at Lamon Bay near Balesin Island, Polillo, Quezon on Thursday. CPO Futures End Higher On Worries Over Tighter Supply Due To Weaker Production

KUALA LUMPUR, Crude palm oil (CPO) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher on Thursday due to worries over weaker production of the commodity that might affect its supply, said a trader. ‘We see support at RM3,800 and resistance at RM3,950,’ palm oil trader David Ng told Bernama. FBM KLCI Futures End Higher, Tracking Cash Market’s Performance

KUALA LUMPUR, The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today, in line with the performance of the underlying cash market. Spot months September 2024 and October 2024 gained 4.0 points each to 1,664.0 and 1,666.5, respectively, while December 2024 rose 3.5 points to 1,671.5 and March 2025 advanced 3.0 points to 1,657.5. Turnover went up to 7,358 lots from 5,298 lots on Wednesday, while open interest was higher at 50,741 contracts from 48,219 contracts yesterday.
