430,000 Borrowers Fail To Repay PTPTN Loans Totalling RM6 Bln

LUMUT, A total of 430,000 borrowers have failed to repay their loans from the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN), amounting to an estimated RM6 billion. Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir said that these borrowers have never made any repayments to PTPTN despite many having established careers. He noted that unpaid loans have steadily increased each year, directly impacting PTPTN’s financial resources. ‘…this is a moral responsibility that borrowers need to fulfil, as the funds repaid will be used by PTPTN to assist future generations,’ he told reporters after attending the PTPTN Loan Advance Payment (WPP)

KPDN Identifies 38 Petrol Stations With Unusually High Sales

KUCHING, The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) has identified 38 petrol stations nationwide that have recorded unusually high sales of diesel and RON95 fuel. The Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali, stated that seven of these stations are located in Sabah, while another seven are in Sarawak. KUCHING, The Malaysian Paralympic Council (MPM) has successfully achieved a 90 per cent classification assessment level involving over 1,200 athletes before the 2024 Para Sports Malaysia (Para SUKMA) curtain-raiser tomorrow night at Stadium Perpaduan, here.
