Securities Commission Releases Updated Investor Alert List

KUALA LUMPUR, The Securities Commission (SC) has updated its Investor Alert List containing the latest unauthorised entities and individuals for investment schemes. The regulator said some entities in the list might impersonate legitimate entities, which were described as ‘potential clones’ and advised the public not to deal with or invest through them. ‘If you invest through unauthorised entities and individuals, you will not be protected under Malaysian securities laws. GISBH Members Still Practise Tarekat Aurad Muhammadiyah

KUALA LUMPUR, The investigation by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) found that members of GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH) allegedly still practised the Tarekat Aurad Muhammadiyah that was adopted by Al Arqam members which was confirmed to have deviated from the true teachings of Islam in 1994. Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said this followed the discovery of leaflets and books during Op Global conducted at GISBH’s premises recently. KANGAR, The sales value recorded by 10 Perlis entrepreneurs during the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism (MAHA) Exhibition 2024, from Sept 11 to yesterday (Sept 22), was RM394,787.40 which exceeded the set target of between RM200,000 and RM250,000. TVET Graduates To Earn Premium Salaries Of Up To RM4,000 – Ahmad Zahid

PUTRAJAYA, The National Technical and Vocational Education and Training Council (MTVET) has agreed to set a premium salary for TVET graduates, ranging from RM2,500 to RM4,000, says Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. He said the salary range was higher than the current minimum wage of RM1,500 set by the government, and that the decision aimed to attract more TVET graduates to work in relevant sectors. “We have established a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with employers (government-linked companies and private sector) where the premium salary exceeds the minimum wage set by the Ministry of Human Resources (MOHR).
