MOSTI Committed To Implementing Various STI Initiatives – Chang

SERDANG, The government will continue implementing various initiatives and outreach programmes involving science, technology and innovation (STI) for the people. ‘Kitab Tib’ Nominated For UNESCO’s Memory Of The World Program – Aaron

KUALA LUMPUR, A collection of Malay medical manuscripts called ‘Kitab Tib’ – from the National Centre for Malay Manuscripts, National Library of Malaysia (PNM) has been nominated in UNESCO’s Memory of the World Program last year. National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang said the nomination involved a series of manuscripts (MSS 1292) covering traditional Malay medical methods. Mahkota By-election: Police Open Investigation Paper

KLUANG, The police have so far opened an investigation paper related to the Mahkota state by-election, said Johor police chief Datuk M Kumar. He said it involved report made by an individual and it is related to incorrect viral content of claiming there was an element of bribery to attract voters. The investigation is conducted under Section 4 (A) of the Election Offences Act 1954 and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998. “The investigation is ongoing and we need to get feedback from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to determine whose portal (uploaded the content),”

FBM KLCI Futures Higher In Early Trade

KUALA LUMPUR, FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures were higher in the early session today, tracking the underlying cash market. At 9.18 am, September 2024 added 8.5 points to 1,669.0, October 2024 rose 8.0 points to 1,672.0, December 2024 gained 7.0 points to 1,676.0 and March 2025 improved 9.0 points to 1,663.0. DOST chief thanks admin for hike in R&D budget

Manila: Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary Renato Solidum Jr. on Tuesday thanked the Marcos administration for the support and increase in the budget for research and development (R and D) for 2025.
