Federal Court Upholds Labourer’s Death Penalty For Triple Murder Of Children

PUTRAJAYA, The Federal Court today upheld the death penalty of a labourer convicted of murdering three young siblings six years ago. A three-judge panel, led by Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Sebli, dismissed Shahrul Pitri Jusoh’s appeal against his murder conviction and death sentence. In delivering the court’s decision, Justice Abdul Rahman said the High Court did not err in convicting Shahrul of the murder charges. Five Individuals Charged Over Odour Pollution In Orang Asli Village

JOHOR BAHRU, Five individuals who were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the dumping of industrial waste in Kampung Orang Asli Pasir Intan, Kota Tinggi, which caused pollution, will be brought before the Kota Tinggi Sessions Court today. Johor police chief Datuk M Kumar said three men, aged between 23 and 52, would be charged under Section 124K of the Penal Code for sabotage. Number Of Kedah Flood Victims Drops To 1,885

ALOR SETAR, The number of flood victims in Kedah decreased to 1,885 people from 593 families as of 8 am today, compared to 2,366 people from 736 families last night. According to the Social Welfare Department’s Info Bencana portal, all evacuees are taking shelter at 18 temporary relief centres across the Pendang, Kota Setar and Pokok Sena districts. M’sia Records High Percentage Of Unmet Family Planning Needs – LPPKN

KUALA NERUS, Malaysia recorded a relatively high unmet need for family planning at about 26.7 per cent in 2022, according to the National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN).
