PCG suspends trips from Cebu to W. Visayas, W. Mindanao areas

CEBU CITY – The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in Central Visayas on Tuesday suspended sea travels of vessels originating from northern Cebu province due to Tropical Storm Kristine. Ensign Jay-R Alguidano, commander of PCG-Northern Cebu, said all travels of any type or tonnage of vessels to and from Eastern Samar, Northern Samar, Samar, Leyte, Biliran, and Southern Leyte are suspended. Boy rescued from online sexual abuse in Laguna

Manila: Police rescued a six-year-old boy from his mother and her partner who are engaged in online sexual exploitation in Laguna, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said Tuesday. PNP-Anti-Cybercrime Group chief Maj. Gen. Ronnie Francis Cariaga said the entrapment operation in Barangay Pansol on Oct. 17 yielded four mobile phones used to record, livestream and store images of the child’s abuse. DTI projects promising market for Antique coco-based products

SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, Antique – The coconut-based products produced by farmers and processors in the province of Antique have a promising market. ‘The coco-based products have a good acceptance in the market that we encourage more processors to engage on it,’ Department of Trade and Industry provincial director Mutya Eusores said during Hinun-anon (media conference) on Tuesday.
